CyberShare Announces New Strategic Partner Membership Category

Arlington, Va., (October 1, 2024)—CyberShare: The Small Broadband Provider ISAC today announced a new membership category, the “Strategic Partner” category, for the broadband vendor community. Currently, CyberShare participation is limited to employees of small broadband providers. With this new category, approved vendors that provide services and products that improve the security posture of broadband service providers can participate in certain CyberShare activities and share specific threat and mitigation measures. This will not only benefit vendors but will also give broadband provider participants access to more information and resources from their peers in the vendor community, helping them build their cyber defenses and enhancing the value of CyberShare for all.

CyberShare Strategic Partner members will receive: 

  • The opportunity to market themselves as a CyberShare Strategic Partner and use the CyberShare logo on marketing materials and their website.  
  • A logo on the CyberShare website and announcement to program participants. 
  • A webinar with CyberShare participants on a subject of their choosing.  
  • The opportunity to participate in the CyberShare technical advisory group, subject to the approval of the CyberShare Working Group. 
  • The opportunity to join one or more regularly scheduled CyberShare calls to discuss vendor specific threats or mitigation measures. 

“We are excited to expand the CyberShare membership to strategic partners and integrate the unique knowledge and services they offer to help broadband providers as they work to improve their cybersecurity posture,” said NTCA General Counsel and Vice President of Policy Jill Canfield. “Cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving, and it is critical that small broadband providers have access to the most recent information, mitigation strategies and best practices.” 

Companies that offer services, goods, or products to enhance the physical or cyber security of small broadband providers may apply to be a CyberShare Strategic Partner. The CyberShare Working Group that helps to oversee NTCA’s administration of the program has the exclusive authority to consider and approve CyberShare vendor applicants.
